As reported earlier, Vice Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama and Vice Head of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Bambang Widjojanto had found irregularities over corruption practices in Kedaung Angke Motor Vehicle Testing Center (PKB), Central Jakarta, when they did a sudden inspection.

Responding on this matter, Jakarta Governor Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo admitted that he supports Basuki’s plan to shut down PKB operational and dismiss employees there if proven guilty. “ There must be firm action if we saw irregularities in KIR test. We’ll discuss it soon ,” stated Jokowi at City Hall, Thursday (7/24).

According to Jokowi, in conducting KIR test, the PKB center that acts as procedural should first know whether the vehicle is worthy or unworthy. “I want to ask you, what is the function of PKB center? For KIR test, right? If the vehicles tested and resulted unworthy but still passed, what does the center for?” he uttered.
